Meet Jesse and Todd — two friends who first met playing basketball in Sydney. Somewhere between the games and laughs, we decided to take on a pretty wild idea: to restore a late 1800s terrace house, which is located right in the centre of the city of Sydney.

What started as a casual project quickly turned into a year-long adventure. Most weekends you’d find us pulling up old carpets, stripping back layers of wallpaper, redesigning kitchens and bathrooms, and making what felt like a hundred trips to Bunnings. It was a lot of work (and a lot of dust), but we loved every second of it.

Our goal was to keep the house’s original charm alive, while adding thoughtful, timeless touches to make it feel fresh and welcoming again. Jesse comes from a background in music composition, and Todd works in design, logos, and branding — so between us, we tried to pour as much creativity and care into the space as we could.

We hope you love staying at Parkside Terrace as much as we loved bringing it back to life.

Six friends stayed and we loved that there were three bathrooms! The rooms were beautiful and roomy. The kitchen was well equipped and usable. Sadly, it rained so much we weren’t able to use the beautiful patio setup! Thanks to Jesse and T for a great stay!

Beautiful and spacious 4 bedroom home. Private and sunny backyard. Great cafes, restaurants and parks nearby. Jesse was super responsive, there was a slight hiccup on day one and he had it sorted quickly. Stayed with our 2 year old + 4 adults. Just note if you have little kids, it's not young-child proofed and stairs might be a little steep for some.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The garden/courtyard area was particularly nice, peaceful and private. Whole house felt luxurious. Loved the coded door lock - very easy to use and great as we were often coming and going separately.

This place is amazing! It’s so spacious with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so perfect for groups. The backyard is stunning and a great place for a wine and the greenery on the wall makes a good backdrop for photos. The location is pretty good with a short 10 minute walk to trains (Redfern and Waterloo metro) 5 mins to buses, however, everything you need is right at your doorstep. There’s some great cafes across the road with amazing coffee. Jesse is very responsive and we will come back if we are ever in Sydney again!
